solar storm energy

I was just reading an interesting scientific article in the news recently: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... technology.

I wanted to get other perspectives on this theory. Since we all can agree that paranormal occurances can be "seen" by using energy detecting devices, I am curious how the sun's solar storms can effect the readings being taken during investigations or evn if there is a connection between these solar storms and the frequency of paranormal occurances. It has been proven that these storms do effect energy on the earth's surface because they create issues for communications as well as air travel to name a few. I would just like to see what other members theories may be concerning this.
